Sweet deception from the land of Israel

I was looking at an article in http://www.jpost.com/ when I noticed a big ad flashing:

Peace began within them. Make a difference. Discover the peace within you. Begin here to find your Essence of Life.

In the background, faces of Gandhi, the Dalai Lama and Mother Theresa displayed.

I clicked on the ad and was taken to the Essence of Life site: http://www.eolife.org/

Interesting, the heading states: Peace Begins Within Me.

You will also note a tab for "Essence of Life for Kids".

Front page articles include a discussion of Buddhism and an article on the Festival of Shavuot. The impression is that you can discover, within yourself, how to be happy and fulfilled and at peace.

DO YOU NOTICE ANYTHING MISSING HERE?

(I'll give you a beat to think about it.)

"Jesus the Savior" is missing! Ironic, that this site based in Tel Aviv, Israel, purporting to show people the way to Peace, ignores the strongest candidate to make this possible, in this world, right now. And a native son at that!

Reminds me of the witch's gingerbread house in Hansel and Gretel. "Come and eat, little children. The house tastes sweet, doesn't it? Oh, I see you are getting sleepy. That's good, because it will be into the oven with you soon!"
